Irises take their time underground, eventually emerging into a breathtaking reveal. Nettles' stings are painful, but if you know how to work with them, they're a superfood. The therapeutic process takes time and is often uncomfortable, but the beauty and nourishment that can come out of it are worth it.
I'm fascinated by the mutual influence of individual perspective and shared experience, as well as the ways societal norms both limit and support individuals and relationships. Drawing on my 17+ years of experience as a massage therapist, I'm also particularly aware of the interplay between cognitive, emotional, and physical experiences. My work is also influenced by the principles of intersectional feminism, anti-racism, and queer philosophy.
I welcome individual clients ages 14 and older, as well as couples, families, and other relational systems. I actively affirm "nontraditional" relationship structures (e.g., queer, ethically non-monogamous, kinky, etc.). I am practicing under the supervision of Dr. Tequilla Hill (https://www.drtequilla.net/about-dr-hill).
